The form works manually but the test fails
Your browser session and an automated test can follow different paths. A manual success is useful evidence, but it does not explain which check failed.
Compare the same workflow
Section titled “Compare the same workflow”Open the test details and review the individual page, submission, email, and SSL results. Watch the available recording to see where the automated visit stops.
Check the form while signed out of WordPress, using the public page URL. A logged-in session may bypass caching, security challenges, or fields that visitors see.
Common differences
Section titled “Common differences”- Required fields, accepted formats, or validation rules changed.
- Conditional fields need different test values.
- A multi-page form needs the correct Next and Submit steps.
- Dynamic content is not ready when the next action runs.
- CAPTCHA, a firewall, or a bot challenge blocks the automated visit.
- Submission succeeds, but the expected notification never reaches the monitoring inbox.
Update field overrides or custom steps to match the current form. Check CAPTCHA, firewall rules, or email delivery according to the failed check.
Run another manual FormStatus test after the change. If the mismatch persists, send support the form URL and a recent failed test reference.
