Run a manual test

Run a manual test when you want to check a saved form without waiting for its next scheduled check. This is different from recording a workflow with the Chrome extension.

  1. Open Forms and choose Edit for the form you want to check.
  2. Review the URL, test values, and Enable email testing setting. For a recorded form, review its custom steps instead of the detected field list.
  3. Open the menu beside Save Changes and choose Save and Test. This saves your changes and queues a test.
  4. Return to the Forms page and wait for the pending check to finish.
  5. Open the form’s logs and the newest check. Its trigger is Manual. Review the submission, SSL, and email results and any available recording.

Your account must have access to edit the form, and inactive team billing can prevent saving or testing. If controls are unavailable, check the selected account and its billing status.

A manual test submits the actual form using the saved configuration. Check test data and connected systems before testing a form that starts other automations. With email testing disabled, the run does not verify notification delivery.

Running a manual test does not change the saved monitoring schedule. To stop future scheduled tests, pause the form.

If the check fails, use its individual results to troubleshoot the failure before running it again.
