Configure test values and form changes
Open a form’s Edit page and find Test Configuration. For a detected form, expand Form Fields to review the values FormStatus will submit. Change text values, selections, and checked options to match a valid test submission. Field switches control whether fields are included in the test. Skipping a required field can make submission fail.
Expand Hidden Field Overrides to review detected hidden values. Change these only when you understand how the form uses them. Do not store passwords, payment information, or real customer details in test values. See test data and privacy.
When the live form changes
Section titled “When the live form changes”Choose Form Change Handling to control how a detected form responds when its current fields differ from the saved configuration:
| Setting | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Strict | Fails the test if fields are added, removed, or modified. |
| Flexible | Fills matching fields, skips missing fields, and adds new fields when needed. |
| Flexible (Add) | Fills matching fields and adds new fields, while retaining missing fields in the configuration. |
Use Rescan Form to refresh the detected fields after changing your website. Review the resulting fields and test values before saving. A rescan can change the configuration, so do not assume your previous choices still fit the updated form.
Choose Save Changes to keep the configuration, or Save and Test from the adjacent menu to check it immediately.
Recorded workflows use custom steps instead of this detected-field configuration. If their page structure changes, update the steps or make a fresh recording.
